I recently finished making “bolt” the legendary sword, and while i think it looks amazing, i just wish i had made something else cause im just not enjoying the character it’s on.

So i was wondering if there was any chance to have a feature either from Gem store or via the normal salvage kits to be able to salvage your legendary to get the two “basic” gifts back, that would mean you could get a new legendary fairly easy but it would still take some effort instead of having to redo the whole thing which isn’t really due able seeing how prices are at the moment.

Well that sucks. Now you also cannot sell it since it is soulbound.

I guess if you have a char you do like who uses a sword, you could transmute its skin onto another sword for them…

Not sure if…. A Legendary is account bound, it cannot be sold.

You can’t transmute a soulbound item for a different character.

To the OP, is it just the character or the class you don’t like? If the former, you could always just get one of the makeover kits and change your appearance. I do sometimes wish that the Leg was account bound instead of Soulbound, would be awesome if my Ele could use it too!

You can transmute soulbound items into a white rarity item and move it to another character. Reason being soulbind items only apply to masterwork and above. However! You lose the legendary status, which may or may not be fixed.

Someone from Arenanet said somewhere here on the forums that they might be making all legendary weapons permanently account-bound so you can share them between your characters.

whatever you do, just dont salvage it, a video went up recently of someone salvaging the legendary shield and all he got was 1 elder wood log.
