Can someone explain to me why you would craft a Satchel of armor as opposed to each piece individuality?

I asked this a while back and that answer I got was that in most cases you will never do this. It seems more costly to make the bundle of armor then to get them seperately.

The main reason would be if you wanted to store all 6 pieces of armor and didn’t want to take up 6 bank or bag slots. Storage space is one of the main items ANet sells. . .

No, there is no actual satchel. It’s just an icon to represent the batch of armor.

If you take into account the materials required to get the recipe, plus the cost of making the actual item, it comes out to be MUCH cheaper to make the entire set piece by piece.

So yeah, the only reason I could think of to make these would be less storage space if you were making sets for alts.

They have said they are looking into the cost of these recipes. Currently is does cost more to make the entire set as a satchel versus piece by piece.

I don’t think this is what they intended and they have said they will look into it.. and hopefully fix it.

But who knows when that will/may be.

This never made sense to me at most it should have cost 2 more thread and leather or bars of ore for the container, they made these too costly to make.
