Are sentinel insignias craftable and if not, why not?

Doesn’t this mean that after 2 weeks (when the dungeon is gone) the only way to get these items is to use the tp?

There are no Sentinel insignia/inscription recipes, no. They are only obtainable from the boss chest at the end of the Molten dungeon, or salvaged from Sentinel gear dropped in the same dungeon.

Personally, I do hope that ANet will permanently add Sentinel gear/Azurite gems to the open world, similar to the Apothecary gear. We should start a petition to ask for it.

are they used to craft anything? or tooltip is messed?

They are used to craft Sentinel weapons and armor; incorporate them like you would any other insignia or inscription. The main problem with them is that there is no way to reproduce the insignia, so you’ll only have as many armor pieces as you have insignias.

I had the bright idea to convert a Sentinel’s chest piece into an armor box recipe to get around the inability to craft the insignia. Fortunately, I discovered in time that I would still have to supply 6 insignias to make the box. Would have cost me ~86g (at the time) had I gone through with it.

Most opinions I’ve seen about Sentinel’s Armor claim it’s not worthwhile.
