So these things, along with the focus crystal and maint oil versions.
Is anyone using them?
Are they only one use like I assume they are?
I understand the idea behind it, with new content being developed for larger groups, but with the cost of making of these being upwards of 25g each at the moment, its not worth it as it is. As it is, the power one would even out at 100+ people, that’s just too much. These would see much more use if the cost was worked out to be more aimed at guild groups of 20-30.

Just wanted to bring this up as I hadn’t seen it, curious if devs have stats on how much an item is being used.

single use, hella expensive. cheaper to send potent superior sharpening stones to all 100 players in that area. but it’s a convenience and fun thing. when you drop one, people gather.

Crazily expensive and not really worth it, in my opinion. Perhaps ANet designed them with the idea that “super-guilds” like TTS or TxS would pool resources to craft one of these for Teq/Wurm runs, but I think they’re getting by without them.

Absolute waste of money. The trading volume hovers in and out of the single digits. Whomever priced these got it WAY off.

I think people who have expressed interest in them have obtained them, but not crafted them in the hope that one day the recipe materials will be revised some day. Currently, it’s just much too expensive to make for regular use.

I got the recipes, but won’t ever craft them unless something MAJOR happens in either the cost of materials or the recipe itself.

a couple hours after the recipes were available, I got one of each. the stations were selling for like 70g. I was hoping to make one of each and sell to someone who thought they were a rare drop or something and worth that 70g before the price came down. After a couple relistings, I eventually sold them around 30-40g, which was nice (more than made back the investment).
looking at spidy, these stations do sell, and they aren’t exactly non-profitable.

Yup, same for me. I bought the recipes with the hopes that one day the cost will be reevaluated and become less insane. I usually won’t play the “buy and hope for change” game because I feel that’s only asking for disappointment most of the time, but given just how ridiculous the prices are to craft them and the fact that the recipes weren’t THAT expensive I decided to give it a shot this time around.

I just got the recipe and the mats required are insane, no way I’m gonna craft that.

It should be reworked to like:

1 Bloodstone Brick
15 Piles of Crystalline Dust
1 Deldrimor Steel Ingot

What good is an item if it’s overpriced and no one uses it? Might as well take it down a few notches and you have a useful recipe there.

I used it. also the other 2 stations. I sold them on the TP for a profit, even after subtracting the cost to buy the recipe. But you couldn’t do that now, so I don’t recommend buying them.

I made one when these recipes were first released thinking they were infinite use. Seems like that would be a lot more reasonable given the crafting cost and I could see these actually being used if that were the case. Oh well, at least I managed to sell it off and recoup my losses.
