Ascended weapons are having a color but they could and should also glow in that color.

I mean you level your crafting skills and you get (poor looking) pearl weapons and now you get those ascended weapons. It’s a lot of work to get there and it is not really valued to make it to 500. A glow would be appreciated.

Of course they, but the point of ugly ascended gear is to get players to buy transmutation crystals. Just like the reason why fractals have no armor repair points, so players buy repair canisters.

They do glow, it’s just faint. The effect is more visible (and the weapons are more impressive I find) at night.

Cleric’s ascended daggers look hot on my fancy necro. Can’t say the same for all the butt fugly armor I will transmute instantly once I’m done.

My Mathilde weapons have a nice subtle orange glow similar to the sylvari

Yeah ‘cause you can’t relog to repair in LA… Everyone do this, and you can do it even if you started the fractal.

The ascended weapons and armor are already ugly enough, making them glow is just Anet telling us that fine transmutation stones are a must.

Patch Notes:
-Ascended Weapons and Armor now glow brightly, the color of the glow is random.
-Fine Transmutation stones are now on sale.

Personally, i am indifferent about the value of ascended weapons. After finishing mine, i don’t really like i accomplished something awesome. Just the trauma of dragonite farming.
