  • Pro: the act of crafting is pretty much the most unfun part of the game.
  • Con: how will people level by crafting then… as leveling is extremely unfun as well.

If it was account bound, it would devalue alot of lower and mid tier mats because people wouldnt need them anymore to lvlv their alts through crafting, lowering demand and while leveling in lower and mid lvl maps, increasing supply. That would make it hard for any new player, to earn any coin from selling their loot on the tp, until they are lvl 80.

I agree with Wanze, the prices for any non-t5-6 material depends largely on leveling up the craft, with the exceptions of those used in Ascended Crafting (think Linen…) Or atleast, I see little use for it other-wise. No-one would want markets to die out.

I’m also a big fan of the leveling with crafting. Sure it’s rather expensive for most crafts for ‘just’ 7 levels, but for me it’s worth it. I much rather play with all my utilities, traits and weapons, it makes the game more fun for me, where-as leveling feels like a grind for most of it. But I know some people would love to see that nerfed, I understand their reasons aswell, some people need the leveling process to get any clue about their class, but most don’t after a couple of 80s.

Lastly, almost everything comes out either Accountbound or not bound at all. So I’m not sure how Crafts being bound to a character really has a negative effect on anyone. Unless I missed something vital? If you have 1 toon with all crafts even though there’s enough slots to make alts for them, you likely won’t craft enough to really care about the 40s fee. (Assuming with Accountbound you also want the crafts to be available without swapping, if not, eek!)

Would it be a good idea to be able to instantly have your crafting at 500 if already unlocked, while leaving the option to level it manually for xp if you want to?

I agree the gold for levels aspect of it is important.

I dont see why you would need this? Everything you craft is unbound or account bound anyways.

Well we each have one and I think yours stinks…. :P

Personally, I find leveling characters to be the most enjoyable part of this game and intentionally do very little crafting to avoid leveling too quickly. To each there own.

I hate levelling, so I’d much rather not have it be account bound.
