[The Flameseeker Prophecies] 4/11/13
Itinerant, no guild.
Hi All,
I am working on a Legendary, and have just finished World Completion, and also have Bloodstone Shard and 37/77 Clovers, plus another 260 Obsidian Shards. I’m now working to complete Clovers and Shards (need around another 250,000 more karma), and Wv3 Badges (I currently have 150/500) and dungeon tokens (I have 260/500).
My math suggests I’m going to be short about 30-40 Skill Points that I need to complete the Clovers, by the time I get everything else done. What’s the fastest way to make up the difference – just level an alt? That would be fine – I have an itch to level a Mesmer (current main is a Guardian).
Thanks for advice!
Level an alt, is probably fastest I get a ton of levels from WvW when theres constant fighting if you’re on a server with an active WvW.

Yeah, I do quite a lot of Wv3 at the moment and like it a lot. I’m on JQ usually but have bounced back and forth to BG a time or two with my guild. As you know since you are in [Choo], both servers are very active and are in the same tier, with a great rivalry, and I have fought on both sides, haha! And have fought SoR as well from both servers!
I think I’ll finish everything else and then level an alt as you suggest. Thanks!

Leveling an Alt is a good source of skill points.
Running WvW zergs for exp/karma is another good source.
Fractals is another good source also. Costs 35 fractal relics for a skill point, which is fairly cheap.
Not sure how fast this is, but:
-level alts to 20 through the cheapest crafting professions. Might cost less than 10g each
-use those alts to collect all the skillpoints in the world that you can easily get. Don’t forget the ones in WvW
I didn’t use any of my mains skill points for the clovers. I just made an alt, ran him to the crafting station, leveled him with cooking (this gets you to level 15 btw, which nets you 11 skill points), used the skill points for clovers, deleted him, repeat. Whole process took about about 15 minutes once I got it down. If you got extra gold it’s the easiest way to “buy” skill points.

In fact, I am using a variant of this. I leveled two alts (asuran mesmers) to 400 in tailoring and weaponsmithing, which are required for my Legendary (shield). This got them both to level 15, and around 11 SP each. Then, I have started running them both around the starter zones, which have about 7-8 SP per zone. That gives a total of about 45 SP per mule, which is enough to finish the Legendary.
This is easier if you have a printed map of the relevant zones. I run one of the mules around a zone, then go back and run the other around the same zone while it is still fresh in my mind.
I am finding this is an efficient way to do things, and it is fun and cheap (it actually makes money from drops). Plus, I also use both mules for Jumping Puzzles for Wv3 badges each day. In addition, once the Legendary is done I’m going to use one of them as my next character to 80.
