We all know that in December we are getting armor ascended crafting and all profession skills maxed to 500. Also the precursor scavenger hunt will be there soon. However, why did price of gilded and intricate snowflakes go up so much? Is it confirmed that they will be used for precursor (along with halloween materials) or is someone just guessing?

many people including myself used them as a cheaper means to level weapon crafting from 400-500 as they were cheaper than other tier 6 materials such as powerful blood, so many of them were used and taken out of the market that way. decreasing supply while it was increasing demand, leading to an increase in price.

People are speculating for the December update expecting them to be used like the candy corn.

There’s nothing officially released about upcoming armor crafting or anything else. Anet mentioned that it’s coming this year. However that doesn’t mean we will defiantly get it this year or what materials are used for the specific recipes. People speculate a lot and that’s fine, but I would wait gathering items till Anet posts something official. Same for the precursors etc.

…but I have not seen any evidence that the speculation has any foundation (but then I don’t follow Dev feeds or the data-mining feeds at all).

Its not confirmed that those items will be used for pre cursor scavenger hunt/crafting.

As gilded and intricate snowflakes are low level (20 and 35) upgrade components crafted from glittering and delicate snowflakes, my guess would be that somebody made a bad call.

The supply stayed more or less the same before and after the price spike, indicating someone bought up all or the majority of the supply on the tp and immediately relisted them at high prices not considering that those upgrade components can still be crafted for under 30 silver at current tp prices.

If the culprit really wanted to monopolize the market on those items, he should have bought up the supply of glittering and delicate snowflakes as well.

LoL… Wintersday Miracle … wiki indicates it should be this year as for me i will keep my fingers crossed and hope for sooner rather than later.

I hope they will be in december, I have few days off for holydays and I can make some progress in lvl 500 armor crafting. If they implemented after January… goodbye ascended armor for me
