So, 10 days worth of play for 10 Laurels – and its no different to a bottle of elonian wine.

Great shout Anet – another wonderous idea, how about just sticking account bound lodestones into the laurel merchant?

Or does that make too much sense for it to be feasible?

yeah, kind of disappointment. I was"lucky" enough to have power outage yesterday so I couldn’t finish may daily/monthly and so I saved up 10 laurels

I was hoping that those would compliment lodes in MF recepies or at least let you change 1 lode to another. Yeah I know it would be too much but adding a recepie that replaces another one is meh even if you save 25s.

This game is dead to me.

Why add a new ingredient? Why not just have the bottle of elonian wine for sale for 10 laurels? Makes no sense.

Totally agree. Why waste the time to add a new item to the game if its exactly the same as another one? Just have the laurel vendor sell 10 wines for 10 laurels….bam. Same effect as the 10 mystic binding agents. Well. Glad someone took one for the team and bought them, so I won’t have to waste mine….

I think the difference is that these also work with slivers and shards not just cores to lodestones as elonian wine does… Sidenote: they are still pointless and provide no change in the way I’m getting my lodestones (farm, get money, buy cores, make lodestones with wine)

Totally agree. Why waste the time to add a new item to the game if its exactly the same as another one? Just have the laurel vendor sell 10 wines for 10 laurels….bam. Same effect as the 10 mystic binding agents. Well. Glad someone took one for the team and bought them, so I won’t have to waste mine….

agreed. but then again the whole laurel system is redundant in the first place. they could have just used one of the other 16 existing currencies in the game…

From what I have read, wine will upconvert anything, but the cost is not worth it. Charged lodestones remain out of reach for the casual player.

That’s bull kitten. It may take me much longer to level up a character, explore the world, tour the dungeons, etc…, but attaining any one ingredient should not be as hard as it is. RNG should NOT decide who get’s a Legendary.

What I think they’ll do (Yes work like Elonian Wine but another way) also I hope they’ll work like that:
Costs 10 Laurels, is Account Bound
-> IMHO it looks like it might be an “Endless Elonian Wine”, because why would it be worth to spend 10 Laurels on 1 “Elonian Wine” (or how many uses it has, but if it is not ‘Endless’, it would be probably 1 use)… Sooo I guess it is that…

Another thing to point out is that a lot of ppl qqed about “OMGWTFBBQ LODES ARE SO kittenIN’ HARD TO GET!!!”. So i estimate that this might be the way to make Lodes’ cheaper, because the Core Promotion would get cheaper (25s less; it’s a lot per promotion).

[The only thing I ain’t really sure about, is why will it be usable with Lodestones in the MF itself?!]

{If it really worked how you guys suggested, it would have been a BIG fail and I do not believe that ANet would do something like that!}

MBA’s STILL DO NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED in both WIKI2 and GW2 forums – DO NOT BUY – think it through : 20 laurels = 20 MBA’s – a true waste of laurels — DO NOT BUY MBA’s as the don’t work as described, and it’s not worth 8 slivers for 4 shards for 3 frags for 2 core for 1 lodestone (oh – and did i mention 1 laurel (oops) I mean one MBA for each of those transactions? WASTE OF LAURELS!

You completely missed the point of these mba’s. If 1 sliver costs 5 silver, and 1 fragment costs 40 silver, you get 1,2 gold profit per mba (so 1,2 gold per laurel). Not only that, you’re bumping it up to the next level so that eventualy someone else will too, incrasing the lodestone supply in the long run.
