Now the big problem, keep or sell. Right now I really don’t want a legendary, but I use a Greatsword in all my builds so it could be beneficial, but Dawn doesn’t look that great, if it was Dusk I’d keep it in a heartbeat.
So comes the second question. Selling it I can make alot of money of this thing right now, but I don’t know how much. What would be a reasonable price? I know I dropped atleast +100g in the forge so 200 would be the minimum I guess.
IF you sell it: Put it up for a price which is below (but not Too far below) the current cheapest sell price
This would likely mean it getting picked up by one of the richer people who either try to resell it for a higher price, or somebody who is farming to reach the higher prices goes “OMGYESSSSS!” and takes it.
Either way, it will be sold faster and you will have money.
You can also try to find somebody who has Dusk, but wants Dawn, and trade it, or donate it to a friend or loved one.

Question does Dawn have any particle effects or anything? I look around the web and can’t find anything about it. Don’t want to equip and get it soulbound…

No, Dawn doesnt have particle effects, not even an unique skin. You can get the same skin on a named 2g worth sword, forgot the name.
Same with Dusk —> Naegling.
On a side note I would give you all my 125 gold for it lol. But that would be a bad deal for you.

I would keep an eye on the market and wait for its price to peak, then that’s when you sell.
And when you are done with that, wait for the price of your stocks to peak and sell them. But not before, or after. You can make a fortune on Wall Street!
Might not be a bad idea to offer to trade, if there is a different one you want, that way neither of you really risks price increases or decreases as they will probably track with each other.
CKS is all I ever used. Never understood people using exotic. You’re using four exotics to get one exotic….
I understand the chance is higher with exotics, but it doesn’t seem worth it. Atleast with rares you can get an exotic from it. I had a couple of runs where I got +5 exotics in a row.

That’s the best thing to do. I hurt myself bad trying for it. Pretty much everytime I got some gold, I’d throw it all into the forge, and walk away broke. This thing is a gamble. You don’t throw your whole life savings into a Vegas Casino. Pretty much by the time you get all the other items you need for your legendary. You should have either Dusk or Dawn.
Thanks for the advice. In the meantime I will work on filling out all my gear slots with 80 exotics and roll the dice in the spare time on some random rare 80’s that drop when I don’t need the ecto particularly.
Well, I thinking about doing something abit crazy. Most people will probably call me an idiot, but I talking about going all in. I could sell this Dawn right now for 226 gold, then I turn around a put it all back into the forge. I’m pretty sure I could make a killing on this if it goes right. 226 gold is like 1000 rare gs. Chances are pretty high I can get another, and I can just keep doing it.
I’ve made up my mind. I’m doing it. I’ll keep you guys posted. BLEH is going to be awhile I have to go grind. I need 12 gold to even sell it lol.
Definitely keep me posted Harbinger. RNG is RNG, but something tells me you will make out well with your gamble. Please record as much information on your results as you can. How many exotics you got, any named exotics other than precursors. I wish you luck!
Why not keep it and just make Sunrise? For myself, after seeing the 2 legendary greatswords in action from the beta video, I had no doubt it was going to be Twilight for me. But Sunrise has seen big improvements compared to its beta counterpart.
I have also seen Twilight inside the real game and it was somewhat underwhelming because it was a little too dark. Sure it looks awesome if you can switch the camera angle for a period of time while the sword stays still but that isn’t always the case.

So, I was wondering why no one throw in 100 extoic greatsword instead of rares. Didn’t dev mentioned that lvl 80 extoics give better chance to get a prescursor from? Everyone is throwing in rares and the chance is significantly lower so why many people are attempting this. I’m confused!
The main reason people are throwing in rares is that rares are much, much cheaper than exotics, though it could easily be the case that the odds with exotics are better by enough to outweigh this difference.
So I finally sold it for 300g. I think that is more then reasonable. Throwing it all back in the forge will probably wait. There’s alot of things I want to buy now.

Well, the thing is, Tier 3 cultural armour isnt changing in price, and neither is the cost to make exotic rings, nor the commander title..where as the price for dawn and dusk are only going up up up…I’d have kept it, but that’s just me. Having thrown in almost 20 gold worth of stuff myself.

Since the exotics aren’t meant to be the legendary weapons themselves, they are made to be precursors. If they would give the precursors a unique skin then people would try and get the precursors without going for an exotic creating even more demand.
