Someone discovered Coriander Seeds
And an other post like that… Kinda boring at the end…

There has been a lot of speculation about ascended cooking, but the one thing that makes perfect sense is a new level of recipes for unidentified dyes. I’ve been slowly accumulating coriander seeds because basically there aren’t any on the trading post.
They are used for unidentified rare gray dye recipes. If Anet follows the usual formula for Exotic gray dyes, there isn’t enough Coriander on the trading post for even 250 dyes.
It looks like someone noticed. The price is up almost 50% in the last hour.
So much for my patient collecting work.
They might be adding new dyes but i doubt they will add another tier of unidentified crafted dyes.
If they just go for colors, they have to add 8 new ones to give 1 new to each color set, which would make the rng of getting that 1 exotic dye from an unidentified exotic dye pretty bad.
So i think, if they add exotic dyes by color, they will be able to be crafted directly, you will need another kind of ascended mat and they will be account bound.
It could also be that the new dyes add an armor effect rather than a new color and its ingredients will focus on the rare crafting mats.
Anyways, i think adding a new dye takes quite some time and effort to make it work with all the armor and as dyes are only the side product of the chef profession, i doubt that they will put much effort in it and focus on food.

I dont see where your patient collection work gets influenced in a bad way just because someone bought up half the stock of coriander. Quite the opposite.

Ascended cooking would be the most silly move in the history of gw2. Say “no” to ascended cooking!
And say no to people who are obviously trying to influence markets in which they have a stake (or steak, it’s more appropriate).

I guess this would be bad time to remind you that Anet adds new dyes with almost every living story?

Yeah, I’ve got a nice profit but I wanted a whole lot more than what I’ve got, before the price moved. Someone just bought up half the stock on the TP. This news will get around fast.

Just wait for Legandary cooking .. 2000g for a piece of food where you can select the stats and that makes you glow and give you footsteps for 30 minutes
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
You can get lemongrass/coriander in the str8s (as well as cayenne peppers and asparagus) very easily/quickly. When I was building up seed money for investments I did this route on multiple alts while waiting for lower end stuff to flip and it would add up quick.
I wouldn’t bank on anything to be used other than the 400 mats for crafting up to 500 (like omnomberries). Just save whatever herbs you come across until there is more info.

They added 4 special dye sets in 16 months, thats far from almost every living story.
And if you wanted a whole lot more before the price moved, you should have bought them, if it wasnt you in the first place, who bought half the supply.

Everytime you buy or sell an item on the tp, you directly influence its market.
You influence it more, if you buy or sell alot of it.
On one side, players ask here in these forums, which items to invest in, in order to make profit in a month or three. If more experienced people actually decide to give some constructive feedback, tell things to invest in and also say why they think its a good idea, its actually frowned upon because those people already have a stake in it.
I always try to invest into items that i think will give me 300-500% profit margins within a couple of months. Once im done stocking up, i can either wait until the demand rises (through an upcoming patch or change of game meta), or i will share my tips with others, so they are prepared and can also stock up, thereby creating an artificial demand because the item isnt actually needed yet.
I dont see the problem in advertising your own investment, especially if you provide good info, why you think that the demand will rise.
My investment tip for now?

Why i think so, i already explained in another topic.
