How can we tell, without digging through every single recipe, what I can make for a specific character level? The only lists I am finding are ones that show craft level, not what level the character needs to be in order to wear it.

You can use guildhead.com, or gw2db.com to look at the recipes and see the level the character needs to be to use the item. I don’t know of a way to tell in game though.

Also, the recipes in your list should be in level order. So you’ll have to just find the spot where you can use the items you can craft and then just go from there.
