Rant:
Recipes that take 30 ectos and Gossamer should never salvage to a couple pieces of silk and 1 ecto. That’s just a slap in the face.

Suggestion:
I think the higher your crafting skill is the higher the salvage quality should be. If I can make it I should effectively be able to salvage more of it successfully.

Note:
I don’t care about your economy. All economies are unfair to the majority of people, get over it.

on the flip side: you shouldn’t be able to get an ecto from something that doesn’t require an ecto to make.

The whole system is already broken if it involves making items and then breaking down the same items over and over again …

So if Anet has this attitude about your suggestion, you’ll just get over it too? Seems fair.

I do believe the idea behind those item is NOT to salvage them but keep them for multiple character usages (isn’t that’s WHY they are Account Bound?).

+1 for a danged obvious suggestion, OP.

When this game started I loved the crafting. Now I know the joke is on me.

BTW, I don’t dislike the suggestion (tho it WOULD damage the economy), the example given by the OP as a gross injustice to us is a cherry picked exception to the rule….

Crafting is a tool. Use it or don’t….it does not want to date you.
