So if Anet has this attitude about your suggestion, you’ll just get over it too? Seems fair.
I do believe the idea behind those item is NOT to salvage them but keep them for multiple character usages (isn’t that’s WHY they are Account Bound?).

BTW, I don’t dislike the suggestion (tho it WOULD damage the economy), the example given by the OP as a gross injustice to us is a cherry picked exception to the rule….
Crafting is a tool. Use it or don’t….it does not want to date you.
