I am currently trying to run a Support Staff Elementalist who focuses on cleansing conditions and stacking Buffs on my allies. So I was decided to try and use the Altruism runes, however after some testing I found to my surprise that the only skill that trigger’s the effect is the number 6 heal skill. Is this a bug or are the runes working as intended.

For clarification I tried using Geyser, Healing Rain, and the Evasive Aracana Trigger Cleansing Wave. All of which would not trigger the stacks of might and instance of fury that are listed on the rune.

Working as intented. There are other runes that proc only from healing skill (Dwayna, Flock, Air, Balthazar just to name few…) and some that proc from elite skill.

Or how would it sound, if I could proc altruism every time I use AH? ^^ Classes that can proc this easily are engineer (kit swapping) and rangers (healing spring).

OooOOoohh, box of shinies. So many shinies!

The description of the Water Attunement is "Attune to water, gaining superior support and healing abilities. I have 2 skills on my staff alone that only heal. They do nothing else. Why don’t they trigger the rune?

Because they aren’t classified as heal skills. They’re classified as weapon skills. Also, they don’t “only heal”. They provide a field for people to combo in and compound the healing (or regen).
