Q: Why is this account bound?

To encourage you to craft.

To limit people from ever using it.
you can only get the recipe from a rare drop, so anyone who would want to use it, can’t, and anyone who can make it likely doesn’t want to use it.

The recipe is tradeable and available on the tp for a fistful of copper.

Missing a few more “why”.
Why would you waste 2 powerful venom sacs, 2 ancient bones and 1 ecto to make this?
Why is this on crit rather than on hit?
Why would you waste a sigil slot with this?

Actually sounds like a decent wvw sigil.

That being said, I’m just theorycrafting. Theorycraft sometimes dont’ work really well in practice.

Assuming the recipe is not account bound and that the sigil is account bound. I guess their trying to avoid the next Sigil of Generosity mess where only select few can craft and sell them. Same thing goes with Sigil of Torment, Sigil of Renewal.

EDIT: Above applies only if the sigil fits into the current meta. It might work for some classes but I don’t think its enough to replace say, Sigils of Battle, Sigils of Torment and all the other good meta stuff.

Sigil of incapaciation is permanent right? It’s just some item you can found in world chest. dont’ seemed to be an event only item.

Yes it’s permanent. Been getting a lot if these sigil/rune recipes from jp chests

Sigil of generosity isnt craftable.
