T6 Materials from Mystic Clover recipe
That’s how I’m doing it. I can’t be bothered to farm for any of this stuff anymore since no matter what we players do, Nerfnet will come along and do their usual. I play mostly WvW now and save karma for jewelry boxes. Those drop a lot of obsidians and I run those through the mystic toilet for mats.
Pathetic RNG is involved of course but it’s better than the alternative.
Of course the real alternative is a new game but I haven’t found anything I like yet.
you can use laurels to buy crafting bags from laurel vendor to get t6 mats. that is if you have no other use for them.
as for using clover recipes, well you dont always get the same value of items you put in out of the forge. + the clover would be useless unless you go after another legendary.

Unfortunately no other use for the mystic clovers than more legendaries.
Hmm… I wonder…
If you could transform 10 Mystic Clovers (plus maybe some other stuff) into a potion that, when drunk, gives you a permanent +1% MF bonus to your account, do you think that would be worthwhile?
I’ve been doing this recipe on and/off in stints of 20 attempts over the past couple months after I finished my second legendary and decided to slowly go for a third.
This time around, the clover x 10 recipe has funded about 300g of the 442g (according to gw2legendary) needed for the GoF. I still have to finish off GoF, but overall, counting costs of ectos/coins, I’m about 250g profit should I decided to sell all my T6. If I’m keeping them, that’s 250g I’ve saved for the GoF this time around.
Of course you get batches of stupid leather, gossamer, and other losing results (I’m looking at you 10 putrid essense batch grr). However, for me, the recipe has turned into a solid investment.
I also think it helps to do the 10 instead of the 1 recipe. Doing lots of singles gives a greater chance for the mystic clover % success to average out. We don’t want that!
I spent 100 skill points and got approximately 10 mystic clovers while the rest are mats. IMO it’s a pretty fun way of getting mats rather than spamming melandru events.
No. I was doing the 10x forging, and was getting too many Clovers, and too few T6. I think the Clover drop rates have been stealth buffed.

Did twenty “10 clover recipes” last night and got 40 covers. That’s 20%, so doesn’t feel buffed to me.
according to my past experience ,
i usually got all 77 clover within 20 tries , no sure about other
my way of doing it is craft once , then back again tomorrow
since the clover only have 30% chance to success , i prefer not to do it all at once
there is no guarantee you will get at least 30 clover out of 10 tries either.
the other believe of me is , i usually have a boon on me before i forge it
The risk of getting something meaningless is rather high. Even if you don’t get extra, unnecessary clovers, you can still get trash like t6 leather, and unless you’re getting armored scales and vials of powerful blood, you’re probably only breaking even gold-wise.

This is why I suggest doing this recipe multiple times (10-20 times), not just once or twice a day.
Look at all the possible outcomes and % reported (true, sample could always be bigger, but let’s use it for sake of argument)

Then consider the price of T6 mats. You’re bound to do better than just “breaking even” assuming RNG doesn’t screw you over.
I only do it when I need Forgesmith daily :p
This is a great way to get t6 mats; up until you get clovers or leather 9 out of 10 attempts.
