How do I make any significant progression in tailoring between 425 and 450 and then 475 and 500? I am currently at 425 and can not find an recipes at 425 (or 475), just 400 (which makes hardly any progress toward 450. I do see a 450 recipes to purchase from a master tailor but none at 475. Do different master tailors have a different variety of recipes?

from 400 – 425, you can refine materials (gossamer scraps to bolts).

from 425-450, you can use the discovery panel for all level 400 exotic recipes

from 450-500, you can refine ascended mats (super slow progress) as well as discover level 400 exotic recipes (fastest)

ascended mats refinement works only in the 450-475 range. after that it’s new recipes discovery (remember, non exotic recipes also give craft xp when discovered, even it it’s a lot less), and exotic crafting.
