Thank you for Giver's
+1% boon duration to 10 second boon = 0.1s
What’s up with that?
1% is worthless, it should be at least 5-10%
1% is worthless, it should be at least 5-10%
O.o 5% would equate to this.
30% extra just from armor, 25% from trinkets 55% longer boons total.
Signet of Rage I will use for the example
48 sec CD
duration of the boons are 30 sec 30×.55=16.5+30=46.5 sec of the boon
now lets spin this a wee bit out of hand, say you drop 30 into tactics adding another 30% boon duration. Now say to maximize your boons even further taking 2 superior runes of the monk 15% 2 major runes of the monk +10% and 2 superior runes of water +15% total of +40% boon duration
=125% longer boons
back to signet of rage
(30secX1.25)30=67.5sec of boons
67.5-48sec=19.5sec extra duration by the time the skill can be cast again meaning after 3x casts you would have 58.5 sec of each boon without having to activate the skill. But you will, because eventually, it would get to the point you could keep swiftness, at least 15 stacks of might, and fury up indefinately.
In short 5% per item would be way to OP 10% would be like WTF.

from testing my conditions there is a duration cap on those of 1 minute, is it the same for boons?
Nope, I had several days of duration on Aegis before. Obviously it still breaks after 1 hit thought.
I would love the new stats for my guardian. however my main Issue is that 1% more boon duration is way not enough to give up the tertiary stat. If chest had 5%, legs 3% and the rest each 2% it would be fine. However just 6% more boon duration from my whole armor, giving up a ton of other stats for is not enough in my opinion.
yes 1% is worthless. 5% is WAAAY TOO MUCH. Whoever suggested that.
But 2% for most pieces is adequate. Maybe 3% for chest and pants.
On the other hand, Necros looove the Giver weapons. 10% condition duration? Yes please.
Heck, a lot of folks like that one.
You can get up to +35% boon duration. (giver trinkets + giver armor with 2 s.rune of monk giving +15% boon duration). I think that’s pretty neat. I’m sure you can go higher for boon duration. I just don’t know how effective this will be in combat (as you have 0 power/prec/condi dmg). A full support I guess.

Unfortunately, you’re giving up over a thousand stats for it. You can just equip 2 water runes and 2 monk runes for 30% boon duration instead. Giver stats are AWFUL. Anyone with significant amounts of Giver gear is dead weight in a group.
Also, becuase it’s 1% on all parts, using Giver’s gloves will hurt your stats less than Giver’s chestpiece for the same benefit.
This can’t be anything but a bug.

That is the downside. But you can equip both water and monk runes ANd the giver to get an exagerated amount of +boon duration. so that’s… +48% boon duration from armors alone. Idk if the 18% will be worth it though, that’s the problem. I think it’ll benefit more from people with mass aoe heal/regen or people who benefit from healing other people.

Or you can just get +20% boon duration food and not gimp yourself with crappy gear.

stop trolling me >_> you and i both know you can get an additional at least 16% boon duration from the items. What makes or breaks it is if its worth it, or if there’s a build that can fully utilize this and still be effective in combat.

Compare it to bonus from food you could otherwise get. Realize that you are losing metric ton of stats. No, it is obviously not worth it.
you can probably get 10% duration from accessories and 5% from armor base
40% from runes
30% from traits
10% from warrior banner of tactics (leaving this one out though).
for a total of +85% boon duration of the orginal buff as to the normal 70%
the 3rd stat really isn’t much but its probably to put a cap on the potential. After a certain point you would be able to keep the boons up permanently without even using your utility skills.
I’ve never used food before but you can probably go over +100% boon duration
Imagine stability + that :o

If I swapped from Cleric’s to Giver’s I would give up 464 power. Unless the Toughness and and Healing Power stats on Giver’s are much higher than Cleric’s it really isn’t a better set for supporting.
Alternatively, I can eat a food for +20% boon duration (and 40% magic find) and only lose 100 power/70 precision.
