The BIG Chef Spreadsheet of Foods
Extremely cool of you to put this together, thank you.
I figure if anything it’s nice for people to have a reference – both for buyers and for crafters. I have a little more advanced version of this sheet that does all the calculations for costs, and amounts that can be crafted based on inputs of what the current price of ingredients cost and how many you actually have on hand, but it’s too big for Google Docs to handle. The apx prices on here are based on current values so they will obviously change… but it at least gives people an idea of which foods are more expensive than others.
There is one minor flaw in the sheet – it does not take in to account what happens when a single craft of a subcomponent results in multiple items. The assumption is that the ingredients listed will make at least 1 of each subcomponent, so the costs are a little higher in some cases. (ie. When you are making a food like a Bowl of Hearty Poultry Soup, one of the components required is Bowl of Herbed Poultry Stock – which you get 3 of per craft. Essentially, if you are only making one Bowl of Hearty Poultry Soup you will have 2 Bowl’s of Herbed Poultry Stock left over.)
This is awesome. Great resource all told.
I made similar things for leveling my Weaponsmithing, but nowhere near as well as this.
Well done.
Nice and professional. Thanks for the resource.
I have been waiting for just such a list! You are officially my hero now. Thanks.
Wow, from one Cook to another, this is amazing. +1!
Wow, this must have been a ton of work, thanks!
This is awesome – I love being able to sort the dishes by stats. Thanks for the all the work you put into it.

Much appreciated.
Thanks everyone. :-) I’m glad you’re getting some use out of it!
Now I’m getting to the point of doing dyes and feasts. I’m not sure if I want to integrate them into this sheet or do a separate table. It’s already pretty big…
Either way works, I’d just filter by type in Excel after downloading it
Thank you! I just really started getting into cooking and this will make it so much easier!

Holy cow.. You put some time into that.
I love spreadsheets … lol Nice .. Thx for doing this.
I just changed a couple of things on the spreadsheet.
1. Made the font a little smaller
2. Split the stat values and stat types into different columns (so they can be sorted in the correct order)
3. A few other minor changes (moved the required level column, renamed a couple of things, etc.)
I should clarify as well, this spreadsheet only shows the foods that are consumable. Any chef recipes that are component-only are not on here. (and dyes and feasts) I think I’m going to put in another tab with all the recipes.
What is the purpose of this thing ? Wiki chief recipes are a lot easier to use and allow you to find things faster.

Marvellous work! What a great resource! <3

Also, you can use it to get the complete ingredients for a recipe, so you have some idea of the true cost to make it. It’s most useful not as a reference for finding recipes, but as a way of tracking recipes once you’ve discovered them.
Now all we need to do is hook it up to gw2spidy.com and get real time prices in there If things were slower at work I’d try to figure it out.

That… is an excellent idea. Let me see what I can do.
Is there another GW2 forum that people are using? This one doesn’t exactly scream awesome…
