I just recently bought around 300 wintersday presents and got 2 light of dwayna recipes. I plan on using one and selling the other. however, the tooltip says it requires my chosen discipline to be 500 to use. if I learn it now, will i unlock it when I am the appropriate level? or should I keep it for when I am at 500?
Also wanted to ask because I have been buying random recipes off karma vendors (really cheap) and using them. these recipes are all different levels and some are even not the same crafting discipline as mine (leatherworking and huntsmen)
so basically after all this rambling, can someone please explain to me how crafting recipes actually work?

The recipe scroll unlockd s recipe for the character it was used on. It doesn’t matter if your current craft level is lower, or even if you don’t have the correct crafting profession learned yet. Of course, being able to use said unlocked recipe, does require having correct profession and level.

Yes. It will. As well as with Armorsmithing and Tailoring, if you ever decided to level those on the same char (remember, you can have all crafting disciplines learned on one character, even if only two of those can be active at the same time).
