LVL 80’s: Thief / Warrior / Guardian / Mesmer
Okay, there has been some discussion in several threads that there’s not a lot of reason to get Crafting to 400, and I happen to agree with Colin in his recent interview with Dragon Season that there needs to be more at 400. (http://dragonseason.com/Front/tabid/124/EntryId/211/Lunch-with-Colin-Johanson-Part-II.aspx)
That being said, I wanted to highlight some of the things that we can do as level 400 crafters, which are pretty cool. If you have more to add to this thread, please feel free to chime in, I know there are things I’m bound to miss.
1) Destroyer Weapons: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Destroyer_weapons
2) Corrupted Weapons: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Corrupted_weapons
3) Volcanus: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Volcanus (Req lvl 400 Chef for Vial of Liquid Flame)
4) Wintersbark: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Wintersbark & Wintersbite: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Wintersbite (Req lvl 400 Jewel Crafter for Gift of Ice)
Of course there are all the Runes / Sigils / Consumables that you can craft as well, but I think for the most part, those tend to get avoided as the Lodestones cost more than the resultant Sigil / Rune is worth, and there isn’t a large demand for the lvl 400 potions / other consumables.
Still, are items like the ones above an incentive to get level 400 in crafting? And if there were more items similar to Volcanus, Wintersbark & Wintersbite that required an account bound crafted item to forge, would that drive more people to invest in crafting?
If I missed anything, please let me know, but I really do want to put a spot light on what we can already do with level 400 crafting.
