So in the Livestream, Lindsey mentioned that a lot of the materials will in fact be traded. Her words were along the lines of buying off the auction house to speed up your crafting.

How will speeding up the process be possible with time gating? If you decide to buy from the TP wouldn’t you then just have a large pool of materials that you can’t use yet?

Perhaps she meant speed up as in not having to go out and actually do the gathering.

from what i understand the end product aka the weapon is account bound tho the matriels for makeing one is not account bound or soul bound meaning you can buy them

If you bought the ectoplasm refined mats you’d speed up the crafting by quite a bit. The others it depends on how fast you can collect the 500 dust/ore/shards, then crafting would take 5 days for the Ascension Crystal.

Time gated will take about 2 weeks. From what I understand buying the refined mats that the time-gated mats are used to craft will be buyable though the trading post. So you could build the gear in one day.(If you had the gold and the mats are on the TP)

Not all of the mats are tradable. I believe it’s the Deldrimor metal that’s tradable. It’s time gated to make, but people not using it for themselves can create some each day and sell it on the TP.
