I have a Vision of the Mists on my warrior, but my warrior is dark fire themed, and I feel like the Vision doesn’t fit well. Should I replace my Vision of the Mists greatsword with a Volcanus? I have almost enough money to pretty much make it, but I’m not sure if it’s really worth it. Am I better saving for the long run and getting a legendary? (I’ve checked everything out, I can get Volcanus MUCH MUCH sooner than say Twilight)

The flaming banana peel is pretty cool . I’m considering going after it myself (I have Infinite Light and 2 precursors I may never bother with…).

Hard to answer something so subjective. I have Volcanus on a red/orange fire themed Warrior and it suits. Can you post a picture of your warrior currently and then maybe a preview with volcanus?

I think Volcanus is one of the best looking non-legendary weapons. You can also transmute it to an ascended greatsword for the stats. That’s what I did for my warrior.

volcanus is pretty sweet. go for it.

If your warrior is fire themed, then definitely yes.

I say Volcanus suits a dark, fire themed warrior way better than Vision of the Mists or Twilight. Here’s my warrior with his ascended volcanus.

There is also a 1-handed sword covered in flames. drawing a blank on the name at the moment, its a roman style sword blade.

You might also look into Cobalt – they are quite cheap now and while they’re matched more to Guardian FX it might be a good placeholder while you work on Volcanus.

I first did Volcanus and then my legendary. Never regretted it. I use Volcanus a lot more, too.
If you are planning to get it wait until fractured hits (influx of molten/destroyer cores + lodestones).

Volcanus is definitely the coolest pseudo-legendary. I never regretted crafting mine, and it looks GREAT combined with Predator!

Seriously, go for it. You wont regret it!

I’ve been planning to get Volcanus for a while, but frankly I don’t think it’s worth it (anymore) since it’s not ascended quality. Transmuting its skin on an ascended wep seems like a waste to me.

honestly, your character looks good with Vision… seems like lots of ppl go for volcanus. I finally got around to crafting my Volcanus (carried the dang vial around for like 9 months, and had to make an ascended gs obviously for the stats to work)

I have destroyer everything, and the Molten Alliance armbands, and not fond of Destroyer Greatsword… so there wasnt really much decision-making to it… its like it was made for me… or me for it.

One thing I cant help wonder, is if they will make Gift-Forged weapons (volcanus, mjolnir, foefire series, etc) either Ascended or at least Pick-Ur-Own-Stat Exotic at the very least in the future…. Bottom line is, stick with your Vision IMO mist weapons are a little more rare – I see volcani everywhere… =\

The sword you are thinking of is “Firebringer” I have it on my ranger. It is nice, but no where near the animations of Volcanus.

Started my Volcanus crafting this week Probably be done this weekend. My plan is to transmute it onto my Ascended GS.

If you already have the Skill Points and a decent amount of gold, it’s quite easy to do, so I say do it

i just need a few more CoF runs for my burst Guard (in hellfire armor). i’ve been really lazy though.
