Why does so many bags which drops from the humanoid mobs contain so much butter now?

Seriously – it’s like every 3 contains some sticks of butter for me; and the drop rate seems skewed and eating into the other possible items drop rates.

There is way too much butter dropped. WAY.

Butter does grease things up a bit, it may be just slipping outta hands and into our bags.

Odd…since they changed it so that butter was a drop I have gotten only 1 stick from a bag and I play a few hours everyday. I did hear another guildie complain about the same issue but it does not seem to be happening for me….and of course I could use the butter

I did a jumping puzzle which has 6 or 7 little Smuggler’s Chests that can be opened and give the same items as Large & Heavy Mouldy Bags. One recent trip through I got 29 sticks or butter, something like 3 chocolate bars and 2 gossamer scraps. Now, I got Gossamer, so I’m not complaining, but getting butter 5 times out of 7 seems a little…excessive.

2 days I maxed out my collections tab with butter and chocolate doing the Charr maps to 100%. I don’t cook so I’m leaving 250 in my collection and selling the rest when the TP works. Seems like the drop rate for butter is 75% or better and chocolate is 50%+ lol

I’ve gotten bags with 9 sticks of butter in them before. I’m literally just vendoring it now. I wish the cooking patch never happened. Claws and Totems and Vials of blood still take forever to get, but walnuts? butter? Raining from the sky.

Agreed drop tables for bags (among some other stuff) are very unbalanced. It feels like anet trying to force you to buy something from gem shop. Please don’t and leave it at preferrable option.

PLEASE STOP THE BUTTER! Getting fine materials was hard enough already, and with all the stupid butter and chocolate it’s even harder now to get eight of something. The loot bags used to be fantastic, now they are just butter bags.

I thought Buttergate 2012 was over? I only got 4 sticks after 6 hours of play yesterday compared to nearly 100 something the day before.

Oh and the times I get a Hidden Stash from a tree and it too has butter or chocolate. Its like a gift from the cholesterol spirits of the wood!

So much butter! ,i would love for them to change back or just make them normal drops like eggs and not rewards from supply bags seeing as that was one of the best ways to get crafting mats

Walnuts, chocolate, butter…. I think someone’s telling us to make a load of brownies…

I know the neft the butter rate a few days ago, but I still get way too much butter. I think it should be add as an additional drop, maybe in reduce quantity (like 4 sticks max isntead of 3-8 stick per bag), instead of taking over the real loot in a bag.

I can’t believe there’s so much butter!!

I started just hoarding the loot bags, hoping they’ll reverse the butter fiasco, and get us back to the old drop rate for rare crafting mats.

I guess if we got butter in addition to the old loot, that’d be fine. There’s just so much of it, lifetime supply in a half-hour of gameplay…

With the way the cooking is now set up (which I hate) you need quite a bit to level your cooking. That being said I feel as if the butter drop rate should go down or have butter be put into a low level renown heart and have the ingredients that allowed for easy leveling to either remain drops or be put into more difficult renown hearts.

Previously I felt as if I was going out to shop for ingredients which felt fun and now it feels as if I have to grind mobs which (correct me if I am wrong) goes against the normal flow of the game.

I understand it was too easy before but I prefer too easy and fun to more difficult and boring. I hope a half way point can be found for cooking.

TL:DR
Perhaps drop the butter drop rate in exchange for an increase on cooking experience gain for recipes that involve butter?

Actually a good idea, I might do that.
Although I really could use the other things that could have been in the bag, if it wasn’t greased up in butter.

Cooking require a massive amount of butter. So send them to your guild cooks.

Note to self: create Paula Deen character and have her beg for spare butter.

We should each mail a stick of butter to Arena Net HQ, maybe they would mail back some peppercorns.

I AM the guild cook and trust me I have a massive amount of butter already but Unfortunately I’m having issues because the peppercorns vanished from the vendors and now it’s hard to make piles of salt & pepper for cooking purposes

It most definitely is not over, but I’m still gonna hoard every stick for when ANET over-corrects the issue and butter becomes a myth… like oranges XD

I don’t care who is sick of reading this… THERE’S TOO MUCH BUTTER. I will find every forum post about this and bump it until I get my egg cartons and orange/peach vendors back!
