Trading Precursors?
Since the only way to do this is though the mail, and thus very unsafe, I’ve only heard about this being done between trusted individuals. Usually guild mates or other friends, but there have also been a few players that have developed trusted reputations as middlemen for things such as this.
Crafting is designed for gear accessibility, not profit.
Dawn – 899 g 99 s 99 c
Dusk – 1038 g 99 s 99 c

Difference – 139 g
Nobody in their right mind will trade you even if there was an option.
Sell Dawn, work up some gold and buy Dusk.
I understand the delta between the two, but figured if someone were going to sell Dusk to buy Dawn then with a 51g listing fee and a 103g sale fee they would profit 883g and actually need ~15g on their end…
Was just a thought due to the huge fee involved in selling high priced items on the TP.
That would be quite an unfair trade, making them subtract their taxes from the sell price while you don’t.
most likely no one want to trade you with the risk of being scammed just for 20 gold unless they know you really well.
Or you willing to mail them the dawn, which would other wise put you in danger of scammed instead.
I’m willing to give gold along with my Dawn for Dusk i know its unfair for the one who got dusk because its more on tp. But the scammer part scares me.
Any item you send via the mail is considered a GIFT by ArenaNet. That means that the player who receives your item/gold has NO OBLIGATION to send you an item/gold back.
For that reason, you should only use the mail system to trade with people you trust, like real life friends and family or well-respected guild members.
Your best option is the Trading Post.
