Simple question. Is it possible to obtain “Fine Transmutation Stone” with some “Basic Transmutation Stone” at the Mystic Forge ?

Not sure.

But seeing that the Fine stones are only available through the Black Lion Chests or Gem Store I’d say… no.

its probably possible, but unlikely? maybe? I wouldn’t say its impossible. improbable maybe.

I say this because I’ve obtained fine transmutation stones via dailies/area completion. You can almost obtain anything from there, so why not the fine transmutation stones as well?

well seeing as how mystic coins have suddenly jumped up in prices last i checked they were 4silver each plus some change. maybe someone did find the recipe.

@Torqueblue: Mystic Coins jumped because a lot of weapon recipes have recently been discovered on the mystic forge, and those recipes use mystic coins… sometimes up to 100 of them.

As to the OP, Have you tried to see if Basic Transmutation stones can even be put into the forge?

The stones will not transmute them. gave it a shot moments after obtaining it. too bad though. I’ll have to start saving up to get it next year. Unless i get the scythe staff skin. thats just kitten for a necro.
