Triforge Pendant
Considering how expensive and powerful it is, I think they should make it a Legendary amulet.
yea sure…. special for you
can you read this:
Players will be able to acquire Ascended Rings in the Fractals of the Mists dungeon, and Ascended items worn on the back can be acquired through special Mystic Forge recipes.
This is something I’m concerned about as well. If things like this amulet (which was going to be my next big goal) and the major non-legendary mystic forge weapons (like foefire’s power and volcanus) aren’t upgraded to ascended, then they are doing more to eliminate options for progression than they are to create them.
FireSnake – by reading latest post from devs on ascended items I believe they will be adding more in the future. So amulets as well probably.
With the amount of time it takes to craft some mystic forge items the triforge should be upgraded. Ascended suppose to be inbetween exotic and legendary, some of the good-looking exotic already cost as between 80-300g in mats compared to the 400g in mat for a legendary (assuming your precursor is 100g). So the foefire essense, winterbite, triforge, etc should all get an upgrade to ascended.
“Quoth the raven nevermore”
Platinum Scout: 300% MF
I believe that pendant should get ascended status. Just elevate it to the new rarity category.

I do think some of the more difficult Mystic forge weapon recipies could eventually be converted to ascended. But consider, for me anyway, that most of the value you get from those very difficult to make mystic forge weapons comes from their unique skin. you can always transmute that skin onto a ascended item and have something special. Amulets/Rings/Accessories don’t have that, you making them for stats. I went into making the Triforge expecting it to be the last Amulet i would ever wear, and now it looks more like it will be a waste of 40+ gold.
I personally think the most awesome thing ever would be a personal story quest you could do after making the amulet that has you fight three NPC’s named after Devs. Each NPC dropping a piece that when combined with the Triforge rewards you with the ascended version!
Make it happen people!
what is devs have normal people name? i dont want want to fight an npc named John Smith..
With the Announcement of Ascended gear I was curious if any devs have considered this item(Triforge Pendant)?
By any chance are you a Zelda fan? “Tri”-force —→ “Tri”-Forge hehehe
Anyways the name sounds like its high up there on the rarity scale. I like it.

Q:What about the triforge pendant?
A: they’re not planning on buffing it—it may be better than some of the early Ascended amulets. He points out that GW1 had some items that were valuable early on but later became less valuable, and some new items that were better than old items for some builds.
As seen in :

Guess there is no reason to make Triforge then, Time to sell my pile of rubies and sapphires.
And yes Death, Zelda fan here for sure. You should see the items iconography, it looks like a red/blue/green Triforce
I’m still going to collect the mats for one. Ascended or not, it just looks too awesome to pass up. Besides, they could always change it in future so it’s updated to Ascended status, or introduce MF recipes that will make an item Ascended.
Yea, I already wear the emerald pendant, so i do not plan to ever trash it just in case. But I also dont feel like stockpiling those mats when the resources could be used to get my bolt now
