I’m not sure why I can’t make a certain item. According to the Wiki (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pearl_Conch) I have the proper materials to make the Celestial Pearl Conch. But my inscription does not appear in my discoverable tab.

Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

You cannot discover celestial weapons. You have to buy the recipe and use it to make it.

This is the general rule for any recipe you have to obtain (money/karma/rng box) and learn.

So does that mean this: "They require Orichalcum Imbued Inscriptions to craft, the recipes for which must be purchased from Master craftsmen, while the weapon recipes themselves are all discoverable. " is wrong?

I already made the inscription, it just doesn’t show up for me to discover the weapon.

Some times if you put the mats in a certain order it won’t work, but if you re-order them in the window it will. But in this case…. what Uvatha said… you need to buy the specific recipe off of the trading post for celestial.
