Has anyone crafted any unidentified dyes in the mystic forge? Although it doesn’t seem financially advantageous to do so right now, I was curious about the recipe and created four of the common brown dye packs with cooking. However, when I went to the mystic forge, they were greyed out.

it will be advantageous once the unidentified dyes skyrocket in price due to low supply of them.

In the meantime it’s not since the materials used to create 4 rare colored dyes cost much more than 1 single Unid in the market.

My question is really about the recipe itself. Does it require the rare version of the dye packs to work?

Yes. Just made fine, masterwork and rare dyes. Only the rare shows up in the forge.
