I have a L80 Warrior with L400 Weapons/Hunter, rather than spending 40s to use a third craft, i created another character to learn Jewelcrafting/ArmorSmithing.

My main character has about 40k karma that i used to buy rare/exotic Armor recipes for my alt character, but i cant do this with jewelcrafter for some reason,is this a bug or the design ? because i created the alt character for crafting only, not to use in the field.

I too have noticed that you do not get the supplies/vendor option as a non jeweler at master jeweler NPC’s, unlike the other professions. Fortunately, if you are able to do daily completions now, a jug of karma which you can give to your low level crafter only should cover the recipes you need.

a jug of karma? i have never seen one

Its because its new, since the halloween update. Daily and monthly achivement now gives karma consumables that are accountbound.

Ah, nice one, they could just make it so you could deposit karma in your bank, but this is useful.

Yep. Jug of Liquid Karma or whatever it’s called. I moved one over to my lowbie chef.

I liked this thing because we used to grind achievements to nearly finally finished then go fill them on a lowbie. Now if its karma you’re after you don’t have to do that.

You can also learn Jewelcrafting on your lvl 80 to buy the recipes with karma for your alt. You don’t actually need to do any Jewelry crafting, just learn the craft to purchase recipes.

I believe OP is trying to avoid the 40s retraining fee to go back to his real craft of Weapon/Huntsman that would result from temporarily picking up Jewelcrafting just to buy a recipe for an alt.

Sounds more to me like the OP asked a question about why they couldn’t purchase Jewelcrafting karma recipes. Answer is that Jewelcrafting recipes aren’t shared with other crafts, like some recipes are (look at the bottom of the tool tip to see which are shared recipes). So you have to be a Jewelcrafter to purchase them.

Now if their lvl80 Main with 40K karma doesn’t have an extra 40 silver to spend and that’s why the alt, that’s a whole different issue and you could be right.
