So I’ve been noticing I was lately getting less superior sigils when I throw majors into the Mystic Forge. I thought it might be one of those stealth nerfs we all love to say happen. so I decided to test it.
bought 772 major sigils = 193 forgings, plus threw any majors I got out of it back in
if 20% return (no nerf): 38.6 + 7.72 + 1.544 + 0.386 = 48.25 superior sigils
if 10% return (possible nerf): 19.3 + 4.3425 + 0.977 + 0.22 = 24.84 superior sigils

how many superior sigils do you think I got?

Yea if you’re just looking at 10 forges you’re looking at a very small sample size. You can’t base any change in the code based on that. I usually salvage in bulk as well and havn’t seen any changes in the numbers of ectos I’ve been getting.

If you feel that you’re getting less, my suggestion would be to just let them pile up for a while then do your thing. You should be able to see it all average out more in front of you. You’ll still get streaks where you won’t get what you want, but if you keep doing it you’ll get streaks where you’ll get a lot of what you want and it all averages out. That’s completely normal for something being random. There would be something wrong with the code if you didn’t have any streaks ever.
