How many of you do (or did) that to make your legendary weapon? I do my dailies and monthlies religously and i don’t really need ascended trinkets but since they are time gated i’m just not sure if it’s a good idea to use laurels for this purpose. Advice?

I did that. I did the calculations at the time and figured that in terms of converting laurels to gold t6 materials were the best method. I would however say that laurels are most useful for purchasing ascended trinkets.

The T6 to gold coverting is better then the dyes?

Last week I spent about 100-120 laurels to help me max out some T6 mats. Since I don’t really care about getting ascended trinkets on my alts I’ve just been stocking them for quite a while and didn’t really have a use for them otherwise.

Ok thanks for the replies. I don’t want to buy the T6 mats from TP because i need to save gold to buy the precursor and icy runestones for the legendary so i think i will use my laurels. I will farm for a month or two first though and see where i’m at.

That’s basically what I did, while they are time gated laurels only really have 5 uses. T6 mats, Dyes, random novelty items/minis, ascended trinkets, and using either of the first two to make money. And you only need so many ascended trinkets.

Also if you haven’t yet, make sure to do your clovers before you finish your T6 mats. Most people have bad luck getting the clovers and end up getting a good amount of T6 mats instead.

You get 2 dyes per laurel or 3 t6 mats per laurel. At the moment I think this means that t6 mats are the way to go.

Makes sense, I’ve honestly never really thought about my laurels till now and thats mainly because I’m nearing the 400 mark XD

I made my 77 clovers and yes, I did get loads of T6 mats out of that. Thanks again for the advice and help.

Yes, I heard about that too. As my drop rate generally sucks, I thought I’d get a few more T6 materials that way…. Naturally, my drop rate generally sucks, so I got my clovers in no time without hardly any T6 materials…

I also use my laurels for T6 materials. I have no need for ascended items (as much as people say you cannot do without, I’ve been able to survive with rares for over a year now), and I already have both minis and the endless tonic. Besides, I also need T6 materials for my crafting (to get it up to 500) so I can craft ascended too… So, in a way, they actually also go to my ascended stuff (if I ever get around to craft it :P)
