I finally have enough mats to create one……..but now I ran into a dilemma, is it worth it to make it or should I just save up the mats and wait out due to the looming “ascended” stuffs around the corner.

I been playing casually since release and finally able to reach this just yesterday, so this is a very big decision for me, please help me out

first of all, here’s an early congrats!D

i’m saving up for Juggernaut, as well as either one of the Foefire weapons (GS or hammer). and to be honest, i haven’t really given the “ascended” gear much thought yet, or if legendary will indeed be upgraded to match said stats as ANet has stated.. least it’s not affecting my choice on pursuing either of these. i plan to make more named exotics in the future as well, simply because i like they way they look. : ))

you were after the weapon early on. and now you’ve finally reached it. and true, a core aspect of the “gear” in-game has changed, so it’s only normal you’re feeling this way but go abck and explore why you decided to go for this in the first place. hope i was able to help shed some light, but ultimately, it’s up to you and good luck!

Only you can decide if its worth your money / time and effort to get it. everyone else might have a different opinion and the most important thing is for you yourself to be satisfied with your choice.

The first time you gather materials for a new item which you want,, it will take a long time. Do after I made it, all the other I went for are going way quicker now, I dont even get how it came it took me so long to get my Visions of the Mists.

I found the sword totally worth it =)

I say wait till Wintersday to come out. There will be new recipes and possible new weapon skins created from the forge. If there is nothing that pleases you, then go for it. Funny enough, I just used this logic on myself. Like you I also have all my materials to make a Jormag’s Breath sword and been questioning if I should make it now or later. I decided to wait (like my telling you) to see if my Ori Ingots/Lodestones will be of any use for the new recipes. I Also have a Visions of the Mist greatsword and its awesome. Problem was, I made it days before the Karka patch so those 250 Ectos could have went to my Acsended Quivers T_T.
