WARNING to devs
Supply and demand, more people acquiring precursors means more people want lodestones, you should therefor capitalize on that and buy some now.
Also people do need to realize the Scavenger Hunt is just an additional way to get the precursor, not a guaranteed way. Its a more dedicated route to getting it instead of gambling in Mystic Forge or waiting around for temple events and i would assume the odds on getting them are very low.

Whatever the odds of getting the precursor weapons from the new way will be it should be accompanied with an equal increase in the lodestones drop rate.
After all i seriously doubt the dev’s idea is to make lodestones too expensive as it will encourage even more farming – something the devs said they are against after all.
P.S. lodestones are use for runes too meaning any shortage in supply will make some runes too expensive.
Just make respective lodestones buyable with dungeon tokens from respective dungeons ie charged lodestones bought with COE dungeon tokens. Problem fixed.
Am I legendary yet!?
There should be no change what-so-ever. The fact people cried so much about precursor prices devs made another method of getting precursors, now your complaining that items to make the legendary are getting more expensive, why not just get it over and done with and beg devs to give us legendaries for free?

They are going to make it harder because the dev post said it should have taken a lot longer to get legendaries. Drop rates are going to be nerfed to keep you on the treadmill now even longer and costing much more gold.
Get it now before the patch or it will be that much harder.

I dont they would increase the cost of legendaries or anything associated with it because of all the people complaining but maybe add in more PvE non-coin items required (like Obsidian Shards) assuming they do change the method.

“WARNING to devs” seriously? sound like a threat to me
Wish i would have gotten my legendary done when all the mats were cheap and farmers were rampant and competing for my gold. Now that bots have been cleaned out, you can already see mat prices going up. Take rare items, they were like 10-14s each pre bot ban, now they are 20-30s. All i see is alot less mats being posted on the TB and higher prices for what is being posted. So basically, if you made your legendary a month ago, cost ya like 500g ish. Now will prolly cost close to double that.
And let’s not even start with the people who used “loopholes” to get mats fast and free and precursor galore which they sold for quick gold to buy mats to make their own legendary….
People who think they won’t make "endgame’ gear easier to get as the game ages are delusional. Every MMO i’ve played since EQ1 in ’98 have made stuff easier as it went. A prime example, took a full guild of 60+ “raiders” to get flagged for Plane of Time, after a couple years, they were handing out keys to that place for easy loot. I imagine legendaries will be the same way as well as new “cooler” legendaries coming out anyways in the future.

What? When is this happening? Can someone link where the devs said they were making changes to the acquisition of legendaries? Thanks!
You have what you have because you do what you do.

Think he just wanted to grab their attention, he got mine XD

IF you gonna add alternative ways to get precursor – Increase drop rate of lodestones otherwise their price will skyrocket. How much – depends on how easy will that scavenger hunt be, But plz do NOT allow lodestones to skyrocket outside bounderies.
Also – balance the lodestones a bit. Atm charged lodestones are overused, while in comparison glacial and molten have only 1-2 useful applications.
They will hopefully add more mobs that drop them. Onyx lodestones drop relatively frequently from chests in TA explorable while the Claw of Jormag quest chain has a good chance at dropping lodestones too (forget which kind I remember getting some). You can also use the mystic clover recipe for them, I got 10 charged and sold them, though many don’t like the RNG.

It doesn’t, but it does have a comical effect of trying to bestow upon oneself an authority that they don’t have. Seriously, we aren’t in any position to issue warnings to devs. We are like children on a school bus (just about any forum feels like conversing on a school bus.), and the mods are like the driver who yells at us to be quiet if we talk about anything inappropriate, or more often “inappropriate”.
Awww nothing in this thread about 2012 ending of the world prophecy with an ominous narrator. The title seemed to lead there.
What is a precursor? lol

Prices going up is a doubled edged sword: Yes, for buyers it isn’t that great, but nothing is stopping you from being a producer. This isn’t real life where you’re socially handicapped and might have parents that can’t afford to send you to college to get into such a position, this is an online game that’s democratic. I’m not going to say egalitarian because egalitarianism insists that everyone finishes even, but we all have a chance to “make it” in this game, and it doesn’t care about your social background. I could have easily sold my precursor, but didn’t because a legendary is more important to me in this game than being rich. Besides, what fun is there to simply sit on gold I’m not even going to spend apart from certain mats or weapons that I think will go up in price in the future or creating an artificial scarcity and reselling at higher prices?
Go ahead, try mining gold in real life… did the owners tell you that prospecting without a license is illegal and maybe confiscate your gold? Here in the game, however, no one is stopping you (apart from maybe some risen, but you can rekill them or whatever the term for “killing” undead is).
If lodestones spiked, then it means the prices of the precursor were correct in regards to demand. Sometimes I wish people would realize “it costs 400-600g” spend it in gold or time, but you are going to spend it.
My main problem with spike in lodestone prices is NOT related to legendaries!
My main concern is that it will make rune and sigil prices go up witch in turn will force a lot of ppl that do not care for lendaries but need runes sets to be forced to look into farming. Something that in my book is wrong.
Not everyone cares about having a legendary but most ppl care about having a good set of runes. And some of the best sets are only craftable.
