So a few months back during summer I could easily get 7 levels per crafting e.g. 7 lvls for cooking, 7 lvls for jewelcrafting ect.

After doing crafting after the september patch, I’m getting 4 lvls per crafting. What is this? Bugged or capped?

Need some clarification!

Same here. I decided to level armorsmith to 400 yesterday so I can finally go advance my story and only got from lv 26 to 28.
This is stupid.

They brought over a lot of the chinese client changes, XP nerfs is just one of those things. As you can see from all the anger on the forums and reddit, people are not pleased. This has sadly caused a mass exodus of players.

My guess would be a bug. There seems to be a lot of those going on. Unless they made crafting EXP have diminishing returns….

This happened to me as well. I made a new Ranger the first day of patch intending to play it without a birthday scroll to see what the new changes were all about….when I entered the Human start zone I noticed my Ranger was lacking pet controls!

I am not skilled at being a Ranger, and I did like the character I made, so, I scampered to my Bank to use a Birthday scroll. I was aghast at what levels things were unlocking, and I did want to craft the new backpacks, so I decided to use that character and craft all eight professions. Bah. You are right about the levels. On a level 20 Ranger I got maybe three levels….as a result of this reduced crafting XP, and important things unlocking at late levels, my view of the patch is unfavorable.

It will be easier to be patient if I knew if this nerf was intended, or if it is a bug and will be fixed.

What say you Anet? Is this reduced crafting XP something that will be fixed, or is it an intended nerf?

It’s not even acting consistently. I had it give me relatively normal XP from downleveled events at level 29, while everything else (including discoveries at my own level) was giving an absurdly low amount.

I don’t think it starts at level 29. I’ve started getting really bad xp from level 20. Only got 5 levels from cooking 0-400.

There’s a bug that’s affecting XP gain from any source and it’s most noticeable at L29. ANet knows about it, although there’s no ETA for the fix.

So was this the bug fix (from Monday 15th patch notes)?

If anyone can confirm the crafting issue has been resolved, it would be much appreciated (not that it would effect me….I’m just curious).

I noticed amazing buff to crafting exp. I got 15 lvls crafting cooking 0-400. I was lv 2. Then I got 11 lvs from 0-400 tailoring. Then I got 9 lvs from 0-400. It’s incredible.

Looks fixed – went from 95 weapon smith to 400, which took the character from lvl 24 to lvl 30.

I think it not only got fixed, but also exp is inreased.

I crafted cooking 0-400 yesterday, 7 levels gained. Level 41 to 48, so yes it seems fixed.

I did cooking to 200 the other day, and it took me to level 10. So yeah I would say it was fixed:)
