I hit level 80 during the Halloween event and picked up a bunch of level 75+ greens from the Ascent of Madness dungeon. A quick question: what level do green items need to be to produce yellows in the mystic forge? I am quite low on cash, so need to make the most of the items I have collected.

Any greens above level 30 or so can randomly turn into yellows in the MF.

Keep in mind though, level 80 greens sell to the vendor for around 2-3 silver, and you can buy a lot of rares off the TP for 10 silver each.

To convert a 70’s item to an 80th result, I know that Yellows have to 76+ to create an 80th Exotic. I’m assuming that the same level requirement would apply to your Green drops.

It’s the same as in converting rares to exotics, 74 and up (tested). The chance of getting a rare seems to be in a similar region as well, so don’t get your hopes up for huge profits in trying to get them.

I think this can be a good way to make a little cash if you can say this is the level of green i need to make a gold,

Then you can salvage the gold in hopes of ectos.

even with a 10s gold you have a chance to make up to 40-50s dependant on the price of ectos

Key point- Chance rares can produce 0-3 ectos.

sell greens, you can buy rares on the TP for the price of 4 greens while in the MF you are not guaranteed a rare
