the first thing that pops into my head is “Dungeons.” That’s one of the things they’re there for. I have a lot of fun running them to get that loot. I don’t mind grinding for tokens even. At least I know my progress is consistent and I’ll have something to show for my effort.

This is not the case with precursors. But it could be. Create two new gifts.

Gift of the Challenger -Made with four full stacks of the first four dungeons’ tokens.
Gift of the Victor – Made with four full stacks of the last four dungeons’ tokens.

Then to make a given precursor, combine the two gifts above with 250 ecto and a particular item that varies based on the precursor desired. For example, if you want dusk you could use a full stack of corrupted lodestones.

Now we have a reasonable, yet difficult route to a precursor that emphasizes PvE content. The only thing left, in my view, that would need fixing is to make the weapons soulbound on acquire. That would allow the currently listed ones to be purchased at their current prices and pulled out of the economy once and for all. That way, all your hard work will be for something rather than having everyone assume you just grinded orr for gold. >.<

So that’s just my view. I’ve heard people say simular things, but they’ve never outlined exactly how they’d do it. So I did. This should be a fun and rewarding process not a roulette spin. (Roulette is only fun if the players involved are sufficiently rich and sufficiently drunk. Two things most people are not. :P)
