I would like to know where crafting is going? Where is Anet taking this, do they have a long term vision?
I don’t like all the account bound stuff, event only crafting or how there is nothing new in 400-450 crafting levels. The lack of new items in half of the new levels shows a lack of long term planing and/or imagination.
I hope crafting doesn’t end up as nothing more then part of the farming event of week trend. Jumping through one hoop after another just to be able to craft this or that.
Some New Ideas:
Contract Crafting
- where you can receive a contract from other players to craft something, this way new high level items won’t flood the trading post and allow non-crafters to get the latest goods
Crafting Goods
- where you craft non player items and hire a guild to transport your goods to another town or city. All sorts of events can be built around this idea and allow guilds to make money transporting goods.
