Hello guys,

I got a lvl 54 mesmer as we speak, and i kinda wanna get it to 80 asap (this is my 3rd char, and leveling on a mesmer feels so slow!)

So my question is, which proffesions (crafters) should i max, if any?
I don’t want to waste my gold, so i kinda wanna do 1 or 2 crafters thats useful for me in the endgame, or some i can make profit on..

i’ve done jeweler and chef..

Crafts in this game tend to not make any profit whatsoever regarding you do not farm the materials yourself. So get the two professions you would need for your favorite legendary incase you ever decide on having such a goal. The closest professions that come to making a profit is cooking and jewerly so yeah, you already have them :p.

Well, its ok if i dont make any profits, aslong as i dont waste all my gold on the crafters?
Would weaponsmith and tailor/articifer be a waste?
Whats the closest to be most useful?

and yeah.. im planning on getting a legendary someday, somehow.

Well every single legendary weapon requires two unique 400 crafts so you should look at the list of legendaries, pick which one you like the most and level the crafts required for that legendary. And do the proffessions have to be on the same class, or can i have like wep smith on my mesmer, and chef on my ele, and still be able to make the Incinerator?

You can do all crafts on all toons.

And if you can’t decide now, just check your collections tab. If you have a lot of copper, iron and so on, choose a craft that uses that. Do that in combination with a crafting booster and you should get a long way with just stuff you already have

No crafts are really profitable. Any that are would be abused to an unprofitable state.

That said, jeweler is profitable if you get a rare dungeon recipe such as Plague (CM P2) or Bloodstone (Arah P4).

These two are quick and cheap.
