I believe Twilight Arbor has decent droprates on Onyx Cores/Lodestones.

But if you think Onyx is expensive, look at the Charged ones.

Heavy Supply Bags have a small chance at Onyx Cores and Lodestones. ~1.63% on cores and ~0.36% on lodestones. They drop from WvW centaurs.

They’re so high because everyone and their brother wants a Twilight. They also drop from Earth Elementals in Orr at extremely low levels; you can find them outside the Gates of Arah and in Malchor’s Leap in the bottom right area of the map.

Turin, thx for that, seems like a pretty decent rate, gonna go check that out in the morning.

Also, trying to farm for lodestones yourself is a soulless unpleasing endeavor due to the low drop rates. In most cases it is actually more profitable to farm gold and buy the lodestones even at the inflated prices.
