Why Soldier set so hard to obtain?
They’re actually the best combination of stats for any profession, imo. That is why they’re a bit hard to get.
If you want Solider amulet you can check Emerald Pendant on the wiki or on TP. Soldier accessories are also available for karma, but only on Masterwork rank.
Never think that GW2 is about <You need to have this stats and this gear because they are Best in slot> …
deathmond: you may think that is not what the game is about but others do proven by the fact that prices are different for different items and stats. Power and vitality stat items sell for a lot more then others throughout the levels.
Also Jewel orb\shards etc with Power-Vitality-Toughness don`t exist in game too…
I do not agree that the Soldier set attributes are the best in every case. There are many professions, different builds, different playstyles (one player RPs in the city, another one plays TA dungeon only, another one WvW in small group, another one plays zergs only). Find out the combination that works best for you.

I seriously doubt people RPing on the city need any stats what so ever.
Soldier will be fourth set for me…and I see it like the best stats for me in WvWvW.
Soldier is actually much easier to obtain than other sets like Rabid or Shaman. Which are actually arguably better than Soldier for certain builds/classes in the game (not everyone is focused on power based attacks). And unlike Rabid and Shamans, it actually HAS a jewelry set you can get for it.
What I really want to see added to crafting are more jewelry sets and a condition damage/vitality/toughness set. Currently ALL jewelry sets contain power as an minor or major stat. None of them are condition damage/survival focused. None of them have rabid/shaman stats. And once again we lack a CD/tough/vit set.

They probably need more town clothing options.
Technically Vitality and things to boost boon duration.
Those who RP in the city may find that having higher Vitality helps them Jump from higher locations. Having a set to increase swiftness duration or other boons would help an in town only RP Character faster access through the city (playing tag? costume brawl? running back and forth to crafters/trading post
and refuses to spare the life in return for the surrender at discretion (unconditional surrender)
of a vanquished opponent.
It’s not that they’re the best combination, but they’re the best combination if you want to be a tanky-build. While Knight will give you more toughness, prec usually is a useless stat for tanky builds, whereas all power/vit/tough are useful. Also, while you do get hit for more, the increased vit helps give a better buffer and more breathing room facing different types of enemies, more versatility.

They’ll need the half fall damage trait if they want that. Fall damage is a percentage based on fall distance.
