This is one thing thats bothered me. I have had an alchemist in Every single MMO I have played:

My UO alchemist was my biggest gold maker selling cure, healing, poison, and exploding potions and later potion kegs
My DAoC alchemist was again my #1 money maker. For people who didnt want to spend money for a second account potions were a must have for buffs
Everquest again made lots of plat with him. People bought SoW (runspeed) and Damage shield potions all day long. Also the potions that transformed you into another race were always popular especially the gnome ones.

So why no alchemy skill?

Why should this game be designed like other games?

We don’t have potions in this game – we have foods. So cooking = alchemy.
