Think quite a few ppl would like to know the answer for this one. On one side Ascended gear has never been on TP.
On the other Legendary weapons are on TP and now they’re gonna be a basically Ascended weapons with a fancy skin. So if they can be on TP there is no reason why Ascended weapons should not be on TP.
Gonna suck for ppl who could’nt be bothered with lvling professions, but still always want the best possible gear.
I run a mesmer with a GS & sword/focus or sword/pistol. I gotta go lvl all 3 professions. And if the prices of all crafting items increase I’m more or less screwed/ Also wonder how long I gotta wait for all 3 if they bring something like charged quartz into the picture.

I would say the celestial gear is a good look into the future – 401+ crafted gear is probably NOT going to be laid out like a banquet for players with 1,000+ gold to devour in the first month.

I would level crafting while the getting is good, only 6-13 gold to max out a weapon profession, I do not doubt that will rise a fair sum with the release of the patch. http://gw2crafts.net/

Ascended weapons and armour will be account-bound like other ascended gear, though they can be found as rare drops throughout certain areas within the world.

It seems safe to say that all Ascended gear*, in keeping with current trends, will be account bound on acquisition. However, we don’t know for sure yet what all the ways of acquiring Ascended gear will be. Personally I’m hoping that WvW players get an option to purchase Ascended gear with Badges of Honor or some other WvW-only resource.

*Barring Legendaries, of course.

You answered your own question:
Ascended weapon stats will be available on the TP in form of Legendaries.
You cant be bothered to lvl your crafting but want an ascended weapon?
