Just looking at the insane requirements for this (and indeed all) legendary
and i have to ask, why? unless the weapon can one hit kill a dragon , what is the point?
This isn’t intended as a negative post, if someone wants to go for a legendary thats kewl, but i am just curious as to the motivation.

The motivation, as some of the previous posts have suggested, is to have something to stand out from all the other players. People get so focused on being different that they focus all their time on standing out that they spend all their grinding that they ignore the game entirely.
660 hours, and not even half the way of obtaining Twilight, seems fair. 120 gold… ONLY 280 gold to go, and I can award the exploiters on the TP and botters!

Good to see that sour grapes jealousy is still alive and well in this thread. “I don’t have this amazing thing yet, therefore everyone who does must be exploiters or botters!”

If you was referring to me, I wasn’t accusing him or anyone who has the weapon of exploiting, but the fact that the precursor is always a component increasing in value to obtain, so no matter how much gold you farm in a day, you still have to compete with everyone else(for example botters and exploiters).

You said “award the exploiters on the TP and botters”. The only way purchasing a precursor would award those people is if they are the ones selling it.
So yes, you really were accusing anyone who sells the weapon of exploiting.

“You still have to compete with everyone else(for example botters and exploiters)”, may be of your best concern to learn how to read.
godskull exploiter showing off. grats i guess. still can’t believe arenanet just rolled over completely on that massive exploit.
Typical excuse by someone who’s too lazy to put in the effort to find opportunities to profit and would rather sit around and sulk about how unfair things are in a self-perpetuating cycle.
PROTIP: There are legitimate ways to profit that are comparable to the godskull exploit.
Lol nope, godskull pretty much blew everything out of the water. I know people who made thousands of gold off that. Laziness or jealousy has nothing to do with it. It’s shocking they didn’t take away the money people sploited from godskull. He has 80k gems. That’s godskull if it’s not some other sploit. I mean it could be playing the TP but he didn’t say anything about that.

He did; take a look at his FAQ in the opening post. He invested in all sorts of items that had later spiked for profit. Any surplus of gold he had he converted them to gems early in the game.
Can’t you just be happy for the guy? It seems like any time someone accomplishes anything, the first inclination is to call him/her an exploiter, no-life, etc. Borderline harassment.
Congrats. Though I do confess that I’d be one of the skeptics here. Wouldn’t it be nice if ANet had an audit ability? lol. Given the requirements, it was a team effort in some way, even if he simply had multiple people running the account to keep it burning the midnight oil.
I do know some folks have parlayed large quantities of cash into in-game gold (legitimately and not) and that some have even made large quantities of gold on the TP by using business savvy. I just don’t see it adding up here or, for that matter, anyone that has been popping out these legendary weapons so quick (let alone a 3x weapon skin).
No jealousy here. I haven’t seen a legendary skin worth making yet, but the day may come.

I see the pay to win is in full effect. Besides its just an exotic with different skin. Grats on using paypal.
Congrats dude – I have seen you farming in game and I know exactly how hard it is to put a legendary together (let alone 2!).
BTW are you going for any of the other legendaries as well?
Congrats, you are now a Master of GW2, and you did it in one month, what is incredible!

I like how you just contradicted yourself in two consecutive sentences. If it’s just a cosmetic change, it’s not really paying to win, is it?
Is there any word from devs in regards to whether this is going to be modified in the future? Because it seems completely unfinished and there seems no incentive to craft it if it’s worse than the other individual ones..
Congratulations, thanks for posting the recipe. Respect
hmmm will i ever bother to get a legendary? no, that seems seems too elusive goal with all the grinding required. I’d probably go mad and don’t have the stomach to do that sort of grinding anymore. I do enough with dungeon token runs for armour and stuff heh.
In any case it’s an awesome skin but also a glorified one and the stats are the same as exotics from what i saw on the video. And i myself and happy with the dungeon armour weapon skins so i don’t have the urge to make the awesome skin.
Anyway Congratulations again, in the words of the devs and other players you are one of the first master of guildwars 2

i just read “legitimately” and “control the market” in the same sentence. Controlling the market is just as dislikeable as cheating. It kittens over other players just the same for personal gain.
Anyone with a legendary at this point is not innocent and good for the rest of us to have to play with.

“Bought lots of gems” Why am i NOT shocked – this is what makes me like GW2 less than I want too – people can buy their way to all the cool stuff while the rest of us have to spend 100’s upon 100’s of hours to even remotely get close – this is not how a game should work.
It may not be “P2W” but it is JUST AS BAD when all we have in the game to distinguish ourselves are rare items and looks.
Got $1000 and a few hours a day to play the game? BAM – Legendary – so lame.”
In every MMORPG there are gold sellers, get over it.
Grats on Eternity though, I wasn’t expecting anyone to craft it so quick.

A few hours a day is not nearly enough to get all of the other things necessary for a legendary, let alone 2. Buying gems will at best get you the precursor. It won’t get you karma or crafting levels or whatever else you need.
Lol at all the envy and rage, it’s quite pathetic. Gratz on your sword, hope you enjoy it:)
Well, congratulations! lol….go outside and take a walk or something—
I do hope they fix the footprints issue, it’ll be kinda bad if they don’t. If I was you I’d spam anet everyday.
