Hello Guild Warriors,
So I was tired of these “gather X components” crafting guides and decided to make something anyone could use to his/her own fashion.
It’s pretty simple and a bit rough but I wanted to release it since it may yet help. I used Excel 2007 so I guess you should have little problem opening the file.
I used the wiki to get the formulas.
My observations during a full 0-75 Leatherworker Crafting lead me to think they are some inconsistencies in the page. I made some notes in the Misc tab of the file.
For example, a Critical provides a x0.5 bonus XP on any type of Crafting. Discoveries work like Item/Food types but provide a x1 bonus. So Discoveries only give you a x1.5 bonus when you land a Critical. The page may let you think it could be x1.5 + Critical bonus.
I got weird results on the 50-75 Discoveries with 3 Criticals on 3 Discoveries in a row involving Gloves Parts and Embroidered Insignias giving a x1 bonus instead of a x0.5.
The first tab contains data regarding Levels and Experience. The other sheets use it to calculate your Level and Experience gains.
I used the second tab to get a summary of what raw materials I would need to craft everything.
The following tabs are divided into 1st, 2nd and 3rd. They each cover 25 Levels and together a complete Tier. Input your starting Level (eg. 0 for 1st if you’re a Novice) and your current experience (0 if you’re starting) in the first line. Then, select your operation type.
You can use these whatever the Tier (as long as it is divided by 3×25 levels sub-Tiers) since the amount of XP earned is linked to the amount of XP required to level up. Just make sure you put the relevant “Required Level”.
Obviously, your objective should be to plan everything so that you get 25 Levels for each sub-Tier. Unfortunately, the sheet doesn’t take into account chances of Critical. I have begun gathering data but a lot is necessary to start making an hypothesis about the effective chance.
As I mentioned, this sheet could be a lot better and more practical, maybe with macros. I’ll try to make it more user-friendly or you can do so if you feel you’re up to it!
