I’m not necessarily gunning for a precursor. I just want to change my mats into stuff that can be used to get ectos. I’m trying out for those other rare Mystic forge recipe weapons that uses eldritch scrolls and a huge amount of ectos (250) so I wanna know which crafting I should level up. Or is it still gonna be cheaper to just buy the items off TP and salvage them?

Also, another impt question: Are the items made via that method (like 1 scroll x mystic coins, alot of rare mat A and rare mat B, like those in the MF recipe in wiki) found by combining weapons as well? Like, is Jormag’s breath also found by combining 4 swords in MF?

I suspect buying the ectos might be the best option.

Buy gold from ArenaNet and buy ecto’s directly off the TP. It makes them happy and will save you frustration. Of course, you’re spending real $$$ to get what you want, but don’t worry, GW2 is not P2W.

If you work out the numbers, currently, ecto’s are cheaper than the cheapest level 76+ rare, of any kind. You can’t craft them that cheap, buying the mats from the TP. That’s how completely screwed and illogical the GW2 economy is, and will be, likely forever.

And don’t worry, they have a REAL economist who designed it from the ground up, so it’s super awesome and there will never be any problems. Really. Really really.

hmmm… i see. I hope the price stabilizes at 15s /-, I don’t want to see it spike back up to 22s might need like 500 ectos.

I dont think you can obtain those weapons from combining, otherwisee there would probably be a bunch more since people are gambling on their precursors

oh ok good good. I’m glad coz I plan to invest alot on those unique weapons, and i’m afraid someone will just get them randomly off the MF.
