converting transmutation stones into crystals
Long story short: No way in hell this happens. The game is a fashion show, and you need Crystals to make yourself a unique snowflake, so they’re going to have severely limited access to the crystals from non-gemstore purchases.

As someone with five level 80 characters and almost two full stacks of Transmutation Stones, I’d very much appreciate the ability to convert them to Transmutation Crystals. I wouldn’t even mind if the conversion rate was harsh, say 10:1 or 25:1. Anything is better than them sitting in my bank collecting dust.

25:1 sounds fair
If ANet is making money by selling the Fine crystals and they would lose money by doing what this thread suggests, what reason would they have to add Mystic Forged crystals? Every crystal forged would be a crystal not bought and therefore money lost to them. For an idea like this to happen it would also need to benefit the company.
