They are back items, not bags. As such, they do not have storage slots, but provide an upgrade slot and, at the highest upgrade level, an offensive or defensive infusion slot.

Ok that is what I thought. For some reason I thought it said you could store items if it was not equipped.

Just reread the description, i was reading that wrong.

What goes into the upgrade slot though? Have tried everything I can think of and have found NOTHING that will work – HELP PLEASE…..

Jewels (such as Exquisite Ruby Jewels) or Universal Upgrades (such as Crests) can slot into backpieces.

However, bear in mind that the upgrades must fit the level of the backpiece. The crafted backpieces top out at level 78, meaning that Exotic Jewels can’t be slotted into them (they have a level 80 requirement). You can, however, put Orbs or Crests into them.

I think the highest stat upgrade for the craftsman backpacks are the Embellished Brilliant Jewels (Level 65 rare).
