To create an item, you need two crafting skills at 400. Being to make some of the components. Question is, can account ALTs create the needed items for another toon? As in, the needed items are account bound, or or they soulbound? Examples would be gift of metal, or gift of lightning.

Next, can a specific artisan make the catalyst weapon, or are they only acquired from a drop or bought from TP?

yep as the gifts are account-bound. however, bloodstone shard is soulbound. and by catalyst weapon you probably mean precursor, and they can only be made by combining 4 rare/exotic weaps in TP (with a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly low chance, mind you), or buying it in TP.

Thanks. I knew about the shards. Hate that Arnet setup specific item that has to be used for the catalyst weapon. Bots and all gathering them up, and making price go almost unreachable. But that’s thier point, that way we buy thier gold. (sigh, not I). Good to know I can lvl up crafts for other toons. Thanks.

Err… well.. lots of factors why prices are going up/down.. but yea, you can lvl up crafting on your alts :P goodluck to your legendary journey
