Along with Ascended weapon crafting, Legendaries will get some upgrades. Legendaries will have all of their stats increased to Ascended level and will gain the ability to change between stat combinations when out of combat. Along with stat changes, many Legendaries will also receive some aesthetic upgrades.”

So Legendary weapons will have the same stats as Ascended weapons but have an ability to change stats? That’s the only differences between what I would assume skins…?

What is the difference between a legendary and an ascended weapon next week? The skin and the ability to swap bonuses out of combat.

In both cases the SIZE of the bonuses from a legendary are on par with the current top tier for that slot. The top tier is going up, so the Legendaries are going up with it and getting a nifty bit of flexibility that should keep people from transmuting them all the time, which has been a huge headache for the database crew I should think.

would you rather have legendaries have stats lower than what someone could normally craft?

Think of it this way, a legendary will always be BiS no matter what which to me is worth the grind since what the hell you got better to do anyways once you get all dungeon sets, dungeon master title and master all crafting. Of course if you are an altaholic, then maybe you got alts you need to level. /shrug
